DriveKore Company History

We hope the following will introduce you to the products and services that DriveKore has to offer so that you may have a better understanding of the company.

When DriveKore was incorporated in 1967, our company specialized in power-driven fasteners and diamond core drilling equipment. DriveKore started with five employees, and today we have more than fifty. Our sales staff has grown from one to ten representatives, who service the central Pennsylvania and northern Maryland areas.

DriveKore is dedicated to meeting the needs of construction and industry. We keep a full inventory of products, including the most comprehensive selection of tools and fasteners in the area. In construction, time is money. Therefore, our delivery staff is dedicated to deliver our products on time and where our customers need them. Our knowledgeable sales staff can answer questions and help choose the right product to get the job done.

So that we can service what we sell, in 1969, DriveKore started to offer repair service for the tools sold by our company. Today, DriveKore is a factory-authorized service center for more than fifty brands of tools and equipment. Our factory-trained technicians specialize in the repair of electric, gas-powered, and hydraulic tools, in addition to laser and optical equipment service.

In 1972, DriveKore established a diamond sawing and drilling division to offer contractors alternative sawing and drilling expertise. DriveKore Diamond Sawing and Drilling started out utilizing air and electric tools, but now uses hydraulic equipment to do the job more efficiently. Now under the company name Pro-Cut Concrete Sawing and Drilling, our sawing and drilling technicians have years of training and expertise. Contractors often find it more cost-effective to use Pro-Cut than to tackle the job themselves, and no job is too big or too small for us to handle.

Pro-Cut uses the DriveKore Diamond Series products exclusively. This is a line of diamond bits and blades, formulated by DriveKore, which meet our own specifications for fast, efficient diamond sawing and drilling.

In August 1999, Dan Emanuel and Kevin Craig, long-time employees of the company, purchased DriveKore. They realized that we would be more efficient if our Mechanicsburg-based businesses were all located under one roof. To achieve that, in February 2002, we relocated our headquarters to 101 Wesley Drive, Mechanicsburg, and consolidated the various Mechanicsburg departments into one building (the former Weis Market). This change has had a variety of benefits, including better customer service, improved communication, and better use of manpower.

The company’s philosophy is as well-established as the company itself: our customers are our friends. Our goal is to always meet or exceed their expectations.
